The Parking Assist Monitor (Optional) and Side Monitor system (Optional) help you confirm clearance when parking and starting up by displaying video from areas around the vehicle that are difficult to see from the driver’s seat. When parking in a garage or parallel parking, the Parking Assist Monitor displays the rear view, along with guidelines to help with reversing maneuvers on the EMV display. The Side Monitor system displays video from a camera mounted in the underside of the front passenger’s seat-side door mirror, along with information such as the vehicle’s projected path based on steering inputs on the EMV display, helping the driver to check the right side of the vehicle and avoid obstacles caused by the difference in the radii of the arcs traced by the front and rear inner wheels when turning right. The system can be switched between an “overall display” and a “front area enlarge display”.
