The F SPORT emblems on the front fenders confirm the sports driving heritage of the F SPORT and highlight its motorsport-inspired DNA, seen in the aggressive design influences and advanced sports driving features such as the exclusive meter and wheels inherited directly from the Lexus LFA.
The F SPORT suspension was design to deliver damping characteristics that suit sports driving sensibilities, giving a natural feeling response to the road conditions and vehicle behavior. To achieve this, exclusive tuning of both the double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension included the coil springs, shock absorbers and other components, together with the EPS.
It optimally controls the steering angle in response to vehicle speed and steering input, helping to realize excellent maneuverability and stability from low through the high speeds. At low to mid speeds that require frequent steering input, such as driving in urban areas and on winding roads, the steering gear ration is optimized to provide a light, nimble feeling. At high speeds, the response is optimized to realize a stable steering feel.
From the road up the F SPORT package aggressively states its intent. The exclusive F SPORT wheels feature a taut Y-shape spoke design that originated in the Lexus LFA V10 supercar, marking this F SPORT as a direct inheritor of the LFA bloodline, and powerfully expressing its performance characteristics.
The bold aggressive face of the F SPORT package with dramatic ‘spindle grille’ exudes high performance. The exclusive grille design has a high pinch point, changing mesh shape from top to bottom, and large lower grille which, together with brake ducts in the front bumper, draws in large volumes of air for cooling.
During various cornering maneuvers, actuators actively vary the torque applied to the stabilizer bars of the front and rear suspension, suppressing vehicle roll to help provide excellent stability and ride comfort.
In the superb quietness of the cabin, the F SPORT package uses a finely-tuned intake sound generator to introduce a sporty engine note when the driver accelerates in the high rpm range, boosting the thrill of sports driving
The aluminum pedals reflect the influence of the motorsport design heritage in the development of the LS F SPORT package, imparting a bold dynamic edge to sporting control. The grille mesh pattern of the aluminum trim beautifully complements the sport pedals, scuff plates and F SPORT interior elements, giving an aggressive sporty touch to the Lexus flagship.
The bold and distinctive front profile of the F SPORT package incorporates a mesh pattern in the ‘spindle grille’, large lower openings for the air intakes in the bumper to assist cooling of the powerful brakes, and integrated LED fog lamps. The lower-rear bumper finished in gray metallic accentuates the low center of gravity of the F SPORT package, providing an aggressive final touch to the design, and contributing to stable and agile handling for exhilarating driving.
